  1. Congratulations! What a beauty. He’s looking right at you, too! That first photo is greeting-card worthy. You could print up a handful, and have birthday cards ready to go for the year. Well done!

I too spend plenty of time either standing frozen near the feeders or fences, or running to get my camera, only to return to…nothing.

    1. Thanks! Yes, it’s frustrating when I miss a shot like that. Just this week, I missed a gorgeous coyote running by on the hill behind our house, and the next day, I missed a deer eating acorns out of an oak tree.

      1. Wow! You see some amazing creatures from your home. I’m quite envious. I watched a squirrel this morning push his head in and out of the slats in the fence. It was so cute. Once I grabbed my camera, poof!

    1. Really, I’ve been trying to catch a photo of this one for months. So skittish! I finally got some shots by leaving the back door open and took photos from inside the house. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Reblogged this on Diary of Dennis and commented:
I found this Photo of a very beautiful black and blue Bird on Nature Momยดs Blog. Itยดs a Stellerโ€™s Jay. The Bird is very beautiful and I do like the colors of the Feathers. She found the Bird in her Backyard and she tried to take a Photo for months. She finally had success. ๐Ÿ™‚ Please visit her Blog if you are Nature interested.

      1. I’m guessing that is because when you are out camping you’re in their ‘hood’ when they approach a feeder I suspect they are very aware they are in your ‘hood’ ๐Ÿ˜‰
        Tis a beautiful bird.

      1. I like that one so much that I would like to reblog this blogpost. Am I allowed to do so? It will give you a backlink ๐Ÿ™‚ THe reblog would fit to one of my animal categorys. If you tell me that you are ok with it, then I will press it on my blog ๐Ÿ™‚
